Did you know that ECFMG has started an Electronic Portfolio for Physicians?
This Electronic Portfolio of International Credentials (EPIC) would be a central location for primary sourced information. The physician pays to have the verification done. He then authorizes ECFMG to release a report to specific facilities. Obtaining the report is no cost to the facility. The cost to the physician can be high after awhile. They have to pay for each report released. On the other hand, it has the potential to save a lot of PSV time, especially for foreign graduates.
I'm not sure how many providers have signed up yet. I didn't see where you can search for a provider.
I wonder if this would be acceptable as PSV for the accreditation bodies. I would be interested to see how much foreign training would be verified too.
Has any one come across any providers with this?
