Audionote-At the risk of offending anyone who loves taking meeting minutes, let me say that I do not like taking minutes one bit. In our field it is difficult for us to be excused from this chore.

So, as with everything I do, I hunted for something, anything, that may make this task much easier. I stumbled on this little app called Audionote. It is a contextual note recorder. What this means is, while you are recording your meeting you can include your notes in context. This allows you to go back through your notes and recordings easily.

I have the app on my tablet and laptop. When I go to the Credentials meeting, I open my app and start recording. As we go through each of the applications, I type the header and a quick summary or special note. After the meeting, as I draft my minutes, I just have to refer back to my notes. If I missed something I just click on that specific text to jump right to that audio section.

They have a lite version and a paid version.

Trust me, for those long meetings, this is the best thing since sliced bread.

Check it out and let me know how it works for you.
